╘═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛
The purpose of this program is to configure the Online Time Bank to
your system and desires.
To run the program simply enter the directory where your keep OTBANK.EXE
and OTBSETUP.EXE and type OTBSETUP. No command line entry is needed. The
first time you run the setup program it will create a file called OTBANK.CFG
using the default values I have set up. Then you will be presented with a
screen showing the various setup options. You may navagate around this
screen using the cursor keys or your mouse if you have one. Below is a list
of the options and a description of the purpose of each one.
Path to RemoteAccess files :
This entry should be edited to contain the complete path to your
BBS system files and MUST end with a trailing backslash.
Example - C:\RA\
Your BBS Name :
This entry is the name you have given your BBS system. This is the
entry which your registration is keyed on and should be exactly
the same as you put on your registration application.
Registration Number :
This entry should be 0 until you receive your registration key from
me. Then it should contain your registration key.
Name of the Bank :
This should contain the name of your bank. This does not need to be
the same as the BBS name but can be. This is what is displayed to
the user when they call the door.
Bank Manager's Name :
This should contain the name of your bank manager. This is what is
displayed to your users when they call the door. This is simply
to allow you to 'make up' a bank managers name or it can be your
name if that is waht you want.
Restricted Withdrawls Start Time :
This is the time in 24 hour format when users will only be allowed
to withdraw a limited amount of time. Set this time to the start
of your systems busiest hours so that a user cannot take out several
hours of time during the busy hours and tie up your board. See the
Restricted Withdrawls Time Limit entry for more info.
Restricted Withdrawls Stop Time :
This is the time in 24 hour format when users will once again be
able to withdraw as much time as they wish. This time may be after
midnight. ( Start time 1700 and stop time 0100 would start at 5PM
and finish up at 1AM the next morning. )
Restricted Withdrawls Time Limit :
This is the total amount of time in minutes that a user can use
during the restricted hours. This includes their normal online
time and any time they may have taken out before the the restricted
hours started. If a user had a normal daily online time limit of
60 minutes and you set the time limit here to 90 minutes then that
user would only be able to withdraw 30 minutes additional time
during the restircted hours.
Maximum Limit on Loaned Time :
This entry is for the time loan function of the door. This is the
maximum amount of a time loan. NOTE: Time loans are placed in the
user's account rather than directly into their online time. This
is so that a user cannot take out a loan to get around the
restricted hours limitations or system events.
Interest Rate on Loaned Time :
This is the percentage of interest the user is charged on a time
loan. The interst is charged at the time of the loan and is not
compounded. This entry may not be 0 but can be greater than 100%
if you wish.
Auto Repayment payment size :
This entry is used by the program OTBMAINT.EXE and sets the amount
of time which is automatically deducted from the user's online time
each day until the loan is paid back. This entry may not be 0 and
should not be greater than the online time available to any user
who has access to the door program. NOTE: Users may make manual
payments to their loan by making deposits inside the door. In fact
they are not allowed to make deposits into their personal account
until they have paid back their loan.
The remaining entry will allow you to exit the setup program with the
option of saving any changes you have made.
